Materials
Die cast parts possess different physical and mechanical
properties depending on the material they are made from.
Zinc die casting is always the right solution for components that
need to be thin-walled while at the same time possessing a high
load-bearing capacity. It also stands out for the minimum amount of
final machining required and allows for extremely fine
tolerances.
Low-cost moulds with a long service life make zinc die casting a
highly cost-effective process.
Aluminium is suitable for the manufacture of complex, lightweight
components that are corrosion-resistant and possess good thermal
conductivity.
Magnesium is the lightest of the three metals and is used when a
component is required to be extremely light. The other advantages
of this metal are its suitability for thin-walled components, its
dimensional accuracy and its high-quality surface finish.
